There are several ways recoloring in psp. The following mini tutorial shows my personal fave.
I am using a button from my ep Basic Buttons Volume 1 as an example. The finished button along with the two screenshots can be downloaded here.
I am using PSP9.
Recoloring using Manual Color Correction
* open the multilayered psd-file, duplicate it, and save the duplicate (/we are only working on the duplicate)
* go to the button layer
* go to Adjust/ColorBalance/ManualColorCorrection

* use the setting, that fits you the best. As the source color, you can pick a greyscale from the button, if you like to make it a dark color (/that is what I did), otherwise try out different grey shades. In the second color adjuster (target) pick the color you want your button to be.
Now your button has been recolored. If you like you can add i.e. texture to it, or just leave it as it is.
In this example I chosed to use Effects/ArtisticEffects/Halftone to add a pattern. Play with the settings to get a result you like.

This is the finished button:

I hope, you had fun! ![]()
